Ingredients:
- Whey powder or fresh whey: 2 tablespoons
- Saltpeter (potassium nitrate): 1/4 teaspoon per liter of aquavit, adjust to taste
- Yeast: A pinch or as needed for fermentation process control
- Spices (caraway seeds): 1 teaspoon, adjust to taste after initial aging period has passed
Directions:
In a large fermentation vessel or glass jar with an airlock system, combine the whey powder and saltpeter thoroughly.
Add enough water to reach one liter volume in total (adjust according to preferred drink strength), then introduce yeast into solution. Stir gently until dissolved.
