Chicken Pot Pie

Ingredients:
  • All-purpose flour: 2 cups
  • Butter: 1/2 cup (plus extra for greasing the pie dish)
  • Salted water: 1/4 cup
  • Chicken breast, cooked and shredded or chopped: 3 cups
  • Carrots, diced: 1 cup
  • Peas: 1/2 cup (fresh or frozen)
  • Onion, chopped: 1/2 cup
  • Butter: 2 tablespoons
  • Chicken broth (low sodium): 3 cups
  • Pie crust dough, homemade or store-bought: enough for two 9-inch pie shells
Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a deep baking dish or two smaller pies with butter. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt.

Add cold cubed butter into the dry ingredients until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
