Ingredients:
  • All-purpose flour: 2 cups
  • Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
  • Salt: 1/2 teas0ne
  • Unsalted butter, cold and diced into cubes: 1 cup
  • Whole milk: 3/4 cup
Directions:

Preheat your oven to 450Β°F (230Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.

Add the cold butter cubes into the dry ingredients using your fingertips until mixture resembles coarse crumbs with some larger pieces remaining in tact (this is crucial for flaky biscuits).

Make a well in the center of this mix and pour milk slowly, stirring just enough to form dough. It’ll be slightly sticky.

Turn out on lightly floured surface

knead gently 8-10 times until it comes together as one piece (not too much).

Pat the biscuit dough into a circle about an inch thick and cut with a round cookie or biscuit cutter to desired size. Place on prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown at edges.
