Ingredients:
  • Caribou meat: 2 pounds
  • Salt and pepper: to taste
  • Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Brown sugar substitute (maple syrup, molasses): 1 tablespoon
Directions:

Season the caribou meat generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat for 2 minutes before adding oil or butter to prevent sticking. Add the seasoned meat into the pan. Cook until browned all over (about 3-5 minutes each side).

Remove from heat and let rest in its own juices.

To serve, slice against the grain if necessary.
