Ingredients:
- Pie crust dough: 1 package (2 sheets)
- Frozen cherries: 2 cups
- Sugar: 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon
- Tapioca flour or cornstarch: 3 tablespoons
- Water: 1 teaspoon plus 2 to 4 additional tablespoons as needed for thickening sauce
- Butter or margarine: 3 tablespoons, melted and cooled slightly
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Roll out pie crust dough for bottom of the pie. Place in a 9-inch pie plate.
Combine cherries, sugar and tapioca flour or cornstarch in another bowl
stir well.
Pour filling into prepared pastry shell.
