Ingredients:
  • Canned Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans): 2 cups
  • Vegetable Oil: 3 tablespoons
  • Yellow Onion: 1, thinly sliced
  • Ginger: 2 teass poppy seeds (optional)
  • Tomato Paste: 3 tablespoons
Directions:

Heat oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat. Add onions, ginger and green chilies

cook until softened (about 5 minutes). Stir frequently to prevent burning.

Stir garam masala into the mixture along with turmeric powder.
