Ingredients:
- Fresh mint leaves: 10
- White sugar: 2 tablespoons
- Lime zest and juice: the zest of 1 lime and its juice from half a lime
- White sugar syrup or simple syrup: 3 tablespoons (or as needed)
- Rum: 2 ounces
Directions:
In a glass, muddle the mint leaves and sugar with your hands.
Add lime zest and juice into the glass followed by rum or vodka (optional).
Fill up the rest of the way with ice cubes then top off with soda water.
