Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes
sauté for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant but not browned.
Drain the spaghetti and add it directly to the hot pan with oil mixture. Toss well to coat pasta evenly, allowing excess oil to drip back into the pot (this will help create a 'sauce').
Remove from heat
stir in chopped parsley.
Season with salt according to taste and serve immediately.
