Creamy Mac and Cheese

Ingredients:
  • elbow macaroni: 4 cups
  • unsalted butter: 1/2 cup (1 stick)
  • flour: 3 tablespoons
  • whole milk: 2 cups
  • sharp cheddar cheese, grated: 2 cups
  • grated Parmesan cheese: 1/4 cup
  • garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
  • ground black pepper: 1/2 teasperlong or to taste
Directions:

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a baking dish with butter.

Cook macaroni according to package instructions

strain and return it to the pot. Add melted butter, flour, milk mixture, all cheeses except Parmesan, garlic powder, black pepper into the pot while stirring constantly until thickened. Stir in half of grated Parmesan.

Transfer macaroni and creamy sauce to prepared baking dish

sprinkle remaining Parmesan over top.

Bake for 20 minutes, or until heated through.
